In 2004, PLANET TALK GmbH launched in a joint venture with South African Kevin Vermaak (Grandstand Management) a unique mountain bike stage race in South Africa. The Absa Cape Epic is known as the toughest and most prestigious mountain bike stage race on the planet. 600 two-person teams from around 50 nations, pros and amateurs alike, travel to South Africa every year to face the special challenge: riding 700 kilometers and climbing 15,000 vertical meters on their bikes in just 8 days. The route which is entirely offroad changes every year.
